London Fashion Weekend, 19 Sep 2013

What can I say? It was awesome? It was great? It was fun? Of course, it was! But most of all, it was really an eye-opener for me! The minute I sat on the front row and waiting for the show to start, I told myself this is really cool and I want to be in this world! I don’t want to be going back to some investment talk shows or any banking related events anymore!

I was watching a 40-mins show of beautiful and trendy clothes with great and lively music, and observing how the fashionista around me appreciating the clothes and saying things like “wow, that’s pretty”, “oh, I totally want to wear that”, “and this, I like too”, were just so exciting and inspirational. Why inspirational? I hope and want to believe that one day I can also live my dream.

Let me share how I got hold of the tickets and what I get to enjoy. About what was showcased in the catwalk, I will post this separately. Keep a look out!

So, this London Fashion Weekend tickets can be bought through online (just google London Fashion Weekend), unlike the designers London Fashion Week shows where you need to be either invited or you could try your luck queuing outside for hours to hope they would let you in the show. I wasn’t as privileged yet! ( patiently hoping that one day I will be 🙂 )

I bought the Luxe ticket category so I can be seated on the front row, and I got to relax at the Lounge with canapes and champagne while waiting for the show to start. But my whole idea was to just experience how it is like to be on the front row watching the show, and indeed it didn’t fail me. I will always remember this moment, and will always stay as one of my happiest one in life.

There were also pop-up stores of different high street brands and designers label around the location of where the show was held. And some of the designer labels were offering up to 50% discount. Of cos, from their the last season collections! But so what? As long as you find it worthy to buy and you love it, who cares? I would definitely go for sale items! Indeed, I did..Bought 2 pieces of Zoe Karssen tees that were on 30% sale. 🙂

For those of you out there, if you are seriously thinking about going into Fashion, I strongly suggest you go for it. While it may be a tough and competitive industry, which industries in this world right now is not! But the satisfaction and happiness you receive from this, are just unforgettable! Well, at least for me..haven’t regretted quitting my job so far!
