Another unexpected weather in London today

Is been a really weird day (in terms of weather)! Started the morning with really chilly winds, then by mid-day it was raining heavily and now is bright and sunny but w some light drizzles….(sound like a weather newscaster now, hey?) 🙂

But anyway, my purpose for this new post is to show you guys what I wore today! While the weather is going “ga-ga”, it shall not affect the way I style myself today.

I was wearing a cashmere sweater from Diane Von Furstenberg, and to keep myself warm, I put on a thermal black blouse from Uniqlo. The material is very soft and “thin”, so when I put over my sweater, it doesn’t look bulky or out of place. It also allow me  to forego the winter coat for now, and most importantly, the detail behind the sweater does not need to go un-noticed. It is a neon green colored zip!

Then, I have a frilly looking skirt from Warehouse to make my look a little fun. I didn’t want to just have a sweater and another basic jeans or pants, otherwise it will look really plain.

Here’s a photo I took this morning! So, basic rule is try Basics with some fun pieces and you will go no wrong with looking chic and trendy!

Portobello Road and Camden Town Market

While the 2 markets have always been one of those “Places to Visit in London”, this time round was my first time. I went to seek an experience of a little British culture as well as hoping to find some good vintages.

However, for Portobello, vintage shops for clothing and accessories are not as much as I have expected. But if you are antiques lover, this is the place for you. And I also realised the items sold in the market are similar otherwise the same in most of the stores.

As for Camden, if you are a gothic lover, this will be the Place for you! The other stores were also selling similar items like Portobello, so it was a very quick visit in Camden for me. Oh yeah, what I find interesting in Camden that I will go back again was the various stores that sell souvenirs. Not the typical ones like “I love London” T-shirt or Mug, but they sell vintage posters of classical movie, etc in paper and plastic. So, this will make an interesting souvenir.

There are a few more places to visit for Vintages (as recommended), so stay tuned as I will be posting where to go/find and any purchases I may have.

And of cos, in few days time, it will be my first visit to London Fashion Weekend…feeling excited!

Have a good night all….
